Description: .As a final step of a non –smoking campaign create a package with a warning for people to stop smoking.
This is a nice activity to grow concern on health awareness in students and at the same time to foster their writing skills.

Description: .Write a dialogue in the comic strip.Include the following expressions:
                                    
Waiter:       Good afternoon/evening Sir /madam
Customer:  Can I see the menu,please?
Waiter:       Certainly.Here you are.
                    You should try the________ .It´s today´s special

Later...

Waiter:       Are you ready to order?
                   What are you going to eat/drink?/Would  you like something to drink?

Customer:   I´ll have fish and chips/salad/spaghetti/grilled tuna and cheese on rye

To create activities such as a final step of a non –smoking campaign. 

HOW TO DO IT

Students have to select the option cigarette packet






Then they will have to invent a brand
Write a warning label
And finally click on generate to see the final outcome and download the image to their computer.

WHY YOU SHOULD USE IT

This is a nice activity to grow concern on health awareness in students and at the same time to foster their writing skills.

It is meant to create your own comic strip in a fashionable and entertaining way.


HOW TO DO IT



  • First you can choose among two, three or four panels to produce your comic strip







  • Then you select a character







  • Once you have done that you click to select objects and scenes


  • You can choose a “talk balloon” or a “thought balloon”

  • You can add a background colour if you wish





  • You review and edit


  • Once you have done that you can print it or e-mail your comic strip.

Creating a comic strip is a good activity to elicit student´s creativity while they put into practice their writing skills and have fun at the same time. It is targeted to any level of students

Animoto helps you to produce  video clips either with pictures or uploading other recordings and giving them your personal touch. 


HOW TO DO IT

  • First open an account. Short videos are for free.






  • Once you have an account  select a style for your video: dance party,autumn,inkwell,etc.


  • There are two video options.One is to  purchase a video and the other is to  make a 30 seconds video for free.





  • After that you decide if you upload your pictures or videos from your computer,Facebook ,Flickr,Picasa,etc.
  • Then there is a variety of music from which you can choose.
  • Another option is to add text.


  • Finally preview your creation and if you want you can edit the video as many times as you wish. 

  • And last but not least the final step is to produce it and share it in Facebook,Twitter , e-mail or just download it in your computer.

You can make simple videos in which you can create your own characters and give them different settings and appearance. It is aimed for any level since students have to develop their own stories and can use the grammar and vocabulary they are able to.

HOW TO DO IT:



  • First you have to open an account. It is for free!  



  • Once you have signed up all  you have to do is to follow the templates. You can choose  either to produce a short story or a movie just by  clicking on the desired option.







 

  • Then select a suitable setting for your story.







  • After that choose the characters that are appealing to you.






  • Now  write your own story. Be creative!







WHY YOU SHOULD USE THIS SITE FOR TEACHING:

 Because this is a good way to encourage students to  write stories in a funny and entertaining way and  to allow them to be in contact with technology at the same time which is something most students  love.
